Swimmin' in the hippo pool

100_1029

Wait...there's a sprinkler too??  I didn't know about the sprinkler.

Get me outta here!!

100_1042

Nah.  I love my hippo pool.

Thanks Becky for taking all the great pictures!!

My sister went to Disney World...

...but her girls are not going to be able to have their picture with at least one of the princesses because she is visiting at my house.  Introducing Princess Stinkarella.

My Little Dancing Queen...she's got the moves

Sorry you have to listen to me singing. It is an unfortunate side effect of getting the little stinker to dance!!

Testing, testing...is this thing working?

Look at our little water spaz.

Mini Vaca? Or just plain stuck?

So Daycare decided to take this week off which means I am home with the baby today and tomorrow!!  I was very excited at this idea early on.  And then the day came.  She has a terrible cold, but no strep throat.  I have a terrible cold, but no strep throat.  And Michael has a terrible cold, but no strep throat.  The weather is somewhat cooperative with my bummer mood in that the sun only comes out from time to time and isn't out there full time rubbing it in our faces that we are stuck inside.  Although, I think a little fresh air will do us some good (and Michael too because he is working nights and trying to sleep today).  The wee one is less than in a fantastic mood.  I would characterize her as Grumpy with a touch of Oscar the Grouch and part of the Bah Humbug guy.

So, my favorite part of today?  FINALLY getting Ainsley to fall asleep so we can get her back on schedule.  After about 5 minutes of napping, a random stranger knocked on the door and Quinn went all sorts of raging lunatic.  Sidebar here:  baby gates keep 100 pound dogs at the top of the stairs and saves on pulling your shoulder out of socket while trying to hold on to her collar while talking to said stranger which is usually the case here at our house.  However, baby gates do not keep 100 pound dogs quiet and I hope I heard enough of the conversation to get that he will be back at 4 to see the house.  I hope he wasn't asking directions or something because that is totally not what I think I heard.  End sidebar.  I hadn't showered yet.  I hadn't brushed my teeth.  No bra.  Just shorts and a T-shirt.  Wild hair in a pony tail and a sleepy baby as a hip accessory.  Yeah, this guy will buy our house.  I can see him now telling his wife "well, it looks great from the outside but you should have seen the white trash that opened the door....be afraid.  Be very afraid."  I'll be glad if he comes back and stranger man will be our very new best friend if he buys our house!

Let's see if I have some pictures to put up here....why yes I do!!  This is for my WV peeps.

Another sidebar...I swear we let the kiddo out of her crib but she loves to be in there and we get the best smiles from her!!  It seems almost all of her smiley pics are from when she is in the crib.

Wow

There is a marathon of Charlies Angel's on as a tribute to Farrah but I am thinking the name of the show should have been Charlies Nipple-y Angel's.  Apparently, bras were not a thing of the times back then.

Ainsley is fighting going to sleep.  We think she might have strep again.  She's eating very little and is growling to kind of scratch her itchy throat.  So, it is another trip to the doctor's tomorrow.

But before we knew she might be this sick we took her to visit Brooke and Gus and little miss thing got to put her toes in the lake for the first time.  She liked it after she got used to it and started splashing her little feet around.

We had a great time and a great dinner...thanks Brooke and Gus!!

Ahhh...Quinn Quinn...I'll slip you a treat if you open the door and let me break out of this joint.

Busted trying to break out with Quinn.  It's into the pen for me.

DSCF9605

That's OK.  I am allowed toys in here so it makes the time fly by.

I'll just chew my way outta the cage...

See ya Suckers!!  I'm on my way to the woods to meet up with my partner in crime!  We'll lay low for a while and be back in five minutes when I need a diaper change and Quinn needs a bone.

Yup...that is Ainsley just hanging out standing up on her own.  Quinn is so proud of her.  Poor Quinn takes a lot from that small fry.  She pulls and tugs and yanks until she can stand up and then she takes her frisbee and plays keep away.  But Quinn loves every minute of it.  Even the random attempts to touch her tongue.

If I was Quinn, I'd run when I saw this heading for me...DSCF9760

...apparently, our grass tastes terrible...DSCF9764

Oh. My. Goodness. I. Can't. Even. Believe. It.

I am at my very own house out in the middle of nowhere.  I am not at my parents.  In fact, I just ran home for lunch quick.  And guess what?!?!  We have the internet at home now!!!  I am such a happy girl.

Look at this sweet brown eyed girl...

Miss Ainsley P has been keeping us on our toes and the "us" includes Quinn too.  Ainsley has been pretty good about staying off Quinns bed and leaving her toys alone.  But she's gotten pretty experimental lately.  She thought about trying out Quinn's bed...but Quinn kissed her to death.  DSCF9334

And Quinn has finally figured out the source of that new odor that's been lingering at our house for the last nine months...DSCF9332

Michael built Ainsley a new swing in our back yard and she waited very patiently for it to be done.  She played with Quinn (and can I just say what a fabulous dog we have...not many would let a little one touch her favorite toy like that)...DSCF9359

...and crawled around...DSCF9342

...and blew some bubbles...DSCF9350

Then she got to swing finally..and LOVED it.  Well, just a couple of finishing touches first...DSCF9344

DSCF9383

We can't tell if she was smiling because she loved her new swing or if she just plain felt better after rumbling one off the new plastic seat.  Either way, she ended up with the sweet new smile we've come to love where she crinkles her nose and snorts.  Yes.  Snorts.  DSCF9373 DSCF9374

Lastly, Saturday was Michaels birthday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEETIE!!) and Miss Ainsley P. gave daddy a book called Daddy Hugs and she even signed her own card and envelope.  DSCF9390 DSCF9388 DSCF9397 DSCF9404
